The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives (NLVM) is a National Science Foundation supported project to develop a library of uniquely interactive, web-based virtual manipulatives or concept tutorials, mostly in the form of Java applets, for mathematics instruction (K-12 emphasis). This work includes dissemination and extensive internal and external evaluation. . . . The eNLVM Project provide interactive online units that target objectives identified as important in State and national standards, include lesson plans, contain interactive online activities, and provide online assessments. Each eModule is intended to cover between one and three class periods of instruction. The NLVM collection of over 100 interactive software programs, called applets, is an effective means for accelerating and deepening studentsï¿½ understanding of math. The eNLVM flyer states that materials are and always will be freely available online.
