The Rough Science Adventure Activities Guidebook is a companion to the Rough Science television series. The guide provides science and technology activities that encourage collaborative learning and experimentation in an informal setting. Although written for museum professionals, the guide presents activities of interest to teachers, parents, and students.

The activities could be completed not only in a museum but also at school or at home. The activities that were chosen for the guide reinforce the scientific method and inquiry skills, provide interactive, hands-on learning experiences for school age children to adults, and make science and technology fun and engaging.
