NJ: Catholic Homeschoolers of New Jersey (CHNJ)

MISSION STATEMENT

Catholic Homeschoolers of New Jersey is a coalition of Catholic homeschool support groups throughout the state. Each group is autonomous, appointing one member as its representative to the coalition. Groups support the coalition in its efforts to:

(1) Help Catholic homeschoolers find a local support group,

(2) Maintain a web site to offer information on curriculum, books, and other useful information,

(3) Provide legal and political information when needed,

(4) Be a unified voice representing all Catholics in the state in legislative matters,

(5) Provide a means of communication between all Catholic support groups in New Jersey in matters affecting them as Catholics, homeschoolers, or parents,

(6) Maintain the CHNJ Yahoo list as a means of discussion and information sharing between individual Catholic homeschoolers.

Since each member group is autonomous, CHNJ will not concern itself with whether an individual group has affiliations with national homeschooling groups; neither will CHNJ get involved in a group's liturgical preferences, be they Novus Ordo, Indult, or non-diocesan Traditional Chapels.
